The Pantheon is an architectural masterpiece dating back to the Roman era. It is famous for its impressive dome, which was, at the time of its construction, the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world. The structure of the building is simply breathtaking, with its majestic columns and imposing facade that foreshadows the beauty that lies inside.
Upon entering the Pantheon, you will be immediately struck by the grandeur of its interior. The dome-shaped ceiling features an oculus, a circular opening at the top that lets in natural light. Take your time to sit and admire the beauty of this space and let yourself be enveloped by its serene ambiance.
Another highlight of visiting the Pantheon is the discovery of illustrious tombs within its walls. This monument was transformed into a Christian church during the Middle Ages, and many kings of Italy and important personalities are buried here.
